H&M t-shirt, Asos septum, Acne Studios sunglasses, Dr. Martens sandals, Weekday shirt and vintage shorts
Med syfte att inte vilseleda er via rubriken, det är inte första gången ni ser en man klädd så här, isåfall tycker jag synd om er. Nej, jag pratar om något väsentligare för mig, det är: tid och budget. Jag kom på det när jag och min bror talades vid i helgen och jag tog upp att jag verkligen är typen som har tid men inte tillräckligt med $ medan min bror är den som ändå spenderar med ingen tid alls. Det är de skillnaderna ni hittar när ni ska jämföra oss som syskon (hej fattig student). Poängen är att det är så mycket enklare än man tror att istället för att lägga sin månads/årslön på något eftertraktat kan man (jag) istället med lite idéer och hantverk själv skapa det. Ta den här t-shirten som exempel, bara för att den inte är Givenchy betyder inte att man inte kan klä sig fett sportigt med en goth-känsla över det hela, vilket är Givenchys insignia som vissa verkligen missar.
På ett sätt är det ändå som ett avbrott med tanke på rubriken, att jag har lärt mig att om jag inte alls kan få tag på något eller om jag tycker det är överprisat, så skapar jag det själv, enkelt.
With the purpose of not misdirecting you through the title, it’s obviously not the first time you see a man dressed like this, in that case I feel very sorry for you. No, I’m talking about something much more important for me, it’s: time vs budget. I came to think of it when I was talking to my brother this weekend and I brought up the fact that I really am the type who has time but not the highest income, while he doesn’t have the proper time for projects which is the reason he buys the items instead. Those are the differences you find when comparing us as brothers (hello, poor student). The point is that it’s so much easier than imagined to instead of putting your whole paycheck on a garment or accessory, through some ideas and handcraft make it your(my)self. Take this t-shirt for example, just because it ain’t Givenchy doesn’t mean I can’t rock the sporty goth look, which is the insignia of the house of Givenchy that apparently many are missing out on, unfortunately.
In a way it’s kind of breaking new grounds since I’ve learned that if I absolutely can’t get a hold of something or if I find it too expensive, I’ll create it myself – easy.
